Chambers School
the first
The Old Farley School was located on Rt 19, 3 miles south of Washington. In 1893, it was moved up the hill to the Hazlett Farm about 1/2 east of the W&W Trussell across S Main St Ext. The name was changed to the Chambers School in honor of Judge J.C. Chambers who on July 20, 1893, donated the land that was used for the building.
The original building was used until 1914. It was moved down the hill and remodeled for a residence by Lyndon Roach in 1939. Children moved to the New Chambers School
