Redd School

The Redd School is located on Redd Run Rd near the intersection with Hallam Rd.  The first building was a brick building that stood nearby and the brick from the first building was used to line the new frame building.  The Redd School was closed in 1938 and the children went to the Lone Pine School.  The porch is no longer on the front of the school and the Amwell Township Historical Society planned to restore the school until the landowner behind the school denied us access.  He did allow our crew to replace the roof in order to preserve the building until we are allowed to access it in the future.  The bright red roof makes it easily visible through the trees from Redd Run Rd.
